Classes and Fun Things

Quilting Sister’s – Do you like to sew for charity? Do you like to sew with friends? Are you open on the First Saturday of each month? Come join our new group of quilter’s who have a passion to make items for charity groups. We will be using the conference room at the Firehouse off of Urbine Road in Powhatan. We will start at 9:30 AM and sew until 1 PM. You will need to bring your machine to each meeting and all your supplies. Click on the Quilting Sister’s page for current information.

Wool Group Gathering – Welcome to a very new and special group of ladies. This group has room for more people. So if you have wanted to learn how to do wool projects or where to start, then you need to be at our next meeting. Click on the Wool Page for more details and what is coming up next month.

Three Day Sewing Retreat at the Studio
Need a few extra days to sew away from your home? Well, you can sign up for a Monday-Wednesday full three days. I hope you have enjoyed having these three days to sew on your projects each month. You set up your sewing machine and leave it here overnight. You get a whole 5′ table to yourself. Each person brings a snack to share during the retreat.

April 8-10; MAY 13-15

AH! SUN-FLOWER & CROW CLASS This is a great fun smaller project. size is 42″ x 42″. This is going to be a great Spring quilt to work on. I will offer a day class on April 23rd and Saturday, April 27th. You can have two days to work on this or you can start on the 27th if you are still working full time. Once you pay for the class, I will send you the fabric requirements and then email the cutting instructions on the 22nd for the class. Join us! Cost: $25.00

ROPE BOWL CLASS
Want a fun class you walk out with a completed project? Sign up for this fun Rope bowl class that lets you be creative and design what you want. Cindy will have several choices to get your brain waves moving and help you design a unique bowl or bag. Rope is included in class. All you need is a Zig Zag sewing machine and you’re ready to get started. Class is March 23rd from 9 to 1. Cost is $30 per person. Sign up now to save your spot!
